Dale Earnhardt Jr made it five straight years at the Most popular Driver in Nascar. The award came as a shock to Junior as he didn’t think he would win it after the year he had on the track. The fans of Junior are loyal and stick with him through thick and thin. It’s just how how they are.
Junior is looking forward to February and the Daytona 500 where he can show people what he can do. It wasn’t no fun for him this past year and all he went through. Sometimes you have to see the lows before you can really appreciate the high’s.

Jerry Nadeau may not be a name that many racing fans still remember, but he still has a throng of fans that support him. After a racing accident where he hit the wall and had some brain damage he still is trying to find his way in racing in a career cut much too short. Nadeau drove for many different companies and piloted the 01 Army car to a win at the NAPA 500 in Atlanta. It was his only win, but he showed great promise before the accident.
This is just another case of how quickly things can change for you. Today Nadeau works on many different projects and still stays busy in racing. Nadeau maybe isn’t racing in the big leagues, but that doesn’t mean fans have forgotten him.

Greg Biffle had a rollercoaster year in 2007. He didn’t get the results his or his team were looking for. Biffle though isn’t someone to sit by and let things go. He is man of action. 2008 should be a very different year for Greg Biffle. I see many good things coming from him.
It seems when a driver struggles one year they come back and have a great year. I look for Greg Biffle to do the very same thing. Biffle is one of the better Nascar drivers and should be at the top this coming year. Look for Biffle in 2008.

Cheating and Nascar seems to go hand and hand anymore. Chad Knaus Jimmie Johnson crew chief was busted for it this past season and not a lot has been made of that. Others were also busted. My question is how deep does this really go. I think it goes a lot deeper than people want to admit.
In fact I don’t see it getting less in the future. I see more incidents of cheating. In fact I wonder how many never get caught. I’ll bet the numbers are real high. Competition is so tough that it’s going to continue to happen.

the No. 28 has had a long history in Nascar racing. Stars like Cale Yarborough, Bobby Allison, Donny Allison, Davey Allison, Dale Jarrett, Ernie Irvan and Ricky Rudd have all piloted this famous car. Now it will be Travis Kvapil who will be behind the famed no. 28.
I for one am glad to see the no.28 back on the track where it belongs. Their are so many memories for fans that seeing it again will be a joy for many. Hopefully Kvapil will be able to get it back to victory lane. That would be great.

The 2007 is done and gone but their are a lot of stories I would love to write about in 2008. I came up with some that would be great to report.
Seeing Petty Enterprise back in Victory Lane would be so cool. It’s been a very long time and that could be the greatest story of the year.
A theme of drivers coming back to Nextel Cup Racing. Reporting on people like Steve Park, Mike Skinner and Ron Hornaday, Johnny Benson back in the big leagues would be another great story.
Junior winning a Nextel Cup Championship would also be great. He has had some tough times lately so he deserve a break for once.
In the end I’m sure 2008 will have plenty to talk about. Let’s go racing!!

Jimmie Johnson won his second championship yesterday as he took the title for the second straight year. Johnson was the most consistent driver all year long and it’s good to see that he won it. Johnson is very popular and right now Rick Hendrick is trying to sign him to a lifetime contract like Jeff Gordon is.
Next year should be a very interesting year as Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, and Dale Earnhradt Jr will be in the same stable. Hmm they could finish 1,2,3 next year. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Kasey Kahne was in an altercation with a security guard at the track at Homestead and was put in handcuffs friday. According to Kahne it was all a misunderstanding and the whole situation will be resolved.
It’s a shame like something like this had to happen. I guess in the end we will find out the whole story. Hopefully nothing becomes of it and Kahne and his team can just move on.

Jimmie Johnson continued to be dominate as he took the pole away from Ryan Newman and will lead the field down Sunday afternoon. Jeff Gordon will start 11th and will need some help if he plans on overtaking Jimmie Johnson.
Other things to watch is Greg Biffle and Ryan Newman as both are having great ends to the season and should also be near the top and could even win this race. All in all it should be very interesting.

The Busch Series will be running it’s last race this weekend and I’m for one going to miss it. Yes. It will still be around, but with a totally different name. Just like the Winston Cup I still remember all the great times in Winston Cup and the Busch Series.
Just as time goes by and things change we lose things that have molded us as adults. I will remember the Busch Series with great fondness for it has brought me many thrilling highlights that would never fit in these pages. So long Busch Series you maybe gone but not forgotten.
