Kasey Kahne One Million Dollar Richer

rpm_a_kahne2_412.jpg

Kasey Kahne was voted into the All-Star race as the fans gave him an opportunity to show everyone what he could do. He took his opportunity and now is one million dollars richer. Kahne in the last segment decided to gamble and not take tires which paid off as he held off Greg Biffle to grab the win.

In looked early in the All-Star race that Kyle Busch was the car to beat but he had car trouble and then Junior stepped up along with Greg Biffle and Carl Edwards, but in the end it was Kahne. You never really like to get your way into a race like this  Kahne did, but having the fans vote you in makes it that much sweeter as well. Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon were two drivers many thought had a great chance  were not that good all night long. It will be interesting to see what happens in the Coca-Cola 600 in a week.

Kyle Busch Continues To Roll

rpm_a_busch4_300.jpg

Kyle Busch beat Carl Edwards out of the pits on the final pit stop and was able to hold Edwards off to take the Nationwide series race. Edwards probably had the best car, but it is hard to pass with these cars so he had to settle for second place.

Busch is starting to make a habit of this winning very close races which will just make a togher driver as he gets older. Most people thought Busch would struggle after leaving Hendrick Motorsports, but in reality the opposite  has happened.

Carl Edwards Takes Texas Race

Carl Edwards and his team took a lot of heat earlier in the season and it has not seem to bother them much as he won the Sprint Series race at Texas Motor Speedway Sunday in really convincing fashion. Edwards was by far the best car and no one had anything for him all day long. Dale Earnhardt Jr started on the pole, but struggled all day long. He was not alone as teammate Jeff Gordon finished 43th for only the second time in his Cup career.

Jimmie Johnson finished second and he worked very hard to get that kind of finish as well. It was a day of trying new things all the time and apparently Carl Edwards and jack Roush know something about this race track as they were dialed in all day long.

Carl Edwards Still Waiting For nascar’s Ruling

I’m sure the waiting game never sits well with anyone and Car Edwards probably does not like it either. He is waiting to see what kind of punishment he will be given by Nascar for failing post race inspection. Well we know that they will not take the win away as that usually rarely happens. I do look for Nascar though to come down hard on him.

It seems cheating in the sport has become rampant. More teams are doing it and more are being caught, but the question is how many are actually getting away with it. I imagine many more than we read about. The only way to stop cheating is once busted and the appeal process is done by an independent body the driver should have to sit some races. This might get the point across loud and clear. Docking points and fines really have no bearing it seems.

Carl Edwards Wins At Las Vegas Fails Post Race Inspection

Carl Edwards was able to make it two straight Sprint Cup series wins in a row as he used some late caution flags and was able to hold off Dale Earnhardt Jr to win the race at Las Vegas. Edwards had a good car and being out front really makes a difference as the clean air makes your car run much better. Edwards did fail the post race inspection so this will be interesting to see what Nascar officials have to say about it. I’m sure we will hear something from them about it.

Tony Stewart had a weekend he would like to forget. A wreck in the Nationwide Series race and the Sprint series has left Stewart with an injured foot and probably very happy to head to Atlanta and leave Las Vegas behind. Rousch cars did well again at Las Vegas and this is hard to understand, but they have the setup down on this track for some reason.

Carl Edwards Wins Rain Delayed California Race

1203970692.jpg

This is probably a race that many of the Nascar drivers are glad is over with. With very limited practice time thanks to mother nature and having to race on a Monday Carl Edwards ended it with first first win of the season. With Edwards win the Roush-Fenway cars won another race ar Califorina Speedway. Jimmie Johnson finished second while Jeff Gordon finished third.

Dale Earnhardt Jr finshed 40th after being involved in an accident yesterday that was not of his making. They should have never ran the race yesterday and it was called with 87 laps done. Edwards was happy they called it though as he gets a win out of it and to him that is all that matters.
