Dale Jarrett Were Going To Miss You!

Dale Jarrett will be leaving as a active driver very soon and will be missed very much by fans and everyone else associated with the sport. Lucky for us he is going to the booth and help put his insight in the races each week as a broadcaster. Jarrett is a guy who is well respected by everyone. Winning the Daytona 500 is probably one of his biggest highlights considering his dad Ned was in the booth call the race.

No matter what Jarrett was a competitor who rarely complained and always put his best foot forward. Guys like him do not come along in the sport often and that is a shame as he will be missed.  His commercials with UPS were great and once he hangs it up Nascar has lost a good one that is for sure.

Dale Jarrett To Replace Rusty Wallace In Booth

This should not come as much of a shock as ESPN is moving Dale Jarrett to the booth after his five race stint is done this year. Meanwhile Rusty Wallace who was the lead man in the booth now will head up the studio programming. This has been rumored since last year and now it has been officially announced.

Many people thought Wallace was not that great and Jarrett is a better fit. Personally it really didn’t matter to me and Wallace was not the worse I’ve heard announce a race so it was okay. I guess we will have to wait and see how long Jarrett is in the booth before they remove him.
