David Ragan Quietly Moves To Top 10 In Points

rpm_a_ragan_412.jpg

David Ragan might not be an household name just yet, but he is having a very good year and no one is talking about it. This driver of the #6 AAA Ford for Roush Racing has cracked the top 10 and has been very consistent all year long. If you ask anyone who is the top 10 in points I seriously doubt if Ragan’s name would come up.

Over the last few years Ragan has learned a lot from  and it also helps he has a great crew chief in Jimmy Fennig who has been around for a very long time and knows what to do. I think this has had a lot to do with the success of Ragan. It will be interesting to see if he can make the chase and if he does you never know what can happen then.

David Ragan To Pull Double Duty

rpm_ap_ragan_200.jpg

This year David Ragan will be pulling double duty as he will run both the Nationwide and Sprint Cup Series this year. Ragan was the Busch Series 2007 rookie of the year, but he will be glad to tell you having the yellow rookie stripes removed from his car is a big thing for him.

Ragan will pull duty duty and that means he will also be driving in the Sprint Cup Series which he learned in his short time that it’s a lot different than the Busch Series is. You have to bring it every week, because when you step up to the higher levels if you don’t you will get pushed back to the back of the field. Ragan knows the air is much sweeter smelling leading than following. Ragan will get plenty of experience this year and all it will do is make him a better driver in the future that’s for sure.
