Denny Hamlin Gives Joe Gibbs Racing Another Nationwide Win

Pretty soon they might have to change the Nationwide Series to the Gibbs Racing Series as Denny Hamlin gave Joe Gibbs Racing there ninth victory in the Nationwide Series as Denny Hamlin took the checkered flag at Dover. It seems as long as you have a car equipped by Joe Gibbs Racing in the Nationwide Series you have a great chance of winning.

The other big story of the day was budding superstar Joey Logano who has been compared to a lot of different drivers. He finished sixth as the 18 year old driver took everything in stride at his first Nationwide race. He was hoping for a top five finish, but I am sure he is happy with his finish in his first race.

Denny Hamlin Wins At Richmond

 rpm_a_hamlin1_200.jpg

Denny Hamlin used a late pit stop to prove to people new tires are better than older ones. Kevin Harvick, Carl Edwards, and Mike Bliss decided not o pit and that cost them as Hamlin was able to pass both with ease, but another caution almost derailed that for Hamlin. Hamlin had to hold off Kyle Busch in a two lap shootout to get the win.

Carl Edwards and Kevin Harvick were dominate all night long, but it’s who is leading at the end that matters and in the end local hero Denny Hamlin was the one with the new tires. I guess this just goes to show you most of the time it is best to get new tires than try to race on old ones.

Denny Hamlin Survives Martinsville

So far this year Denny Hamlin has had bad luck, but for once luck was signing down upon him as he won the race at Martinsville. When others were losing there cool Hamlin was able to control his and at the end he would take home the clock and the win at Martinsville.

Early in the season Hamlin has ran good, but it seemed something would always go wrong and cost him a chance to win a race. For once though that did not happen and he was able to hold on Mr. Martinsville Jeff Gordon to get his first win of the season.

Junior Wins Again, Hamlin Also Advances With Win

Dale Earnhardt Jr apparently likes the view from the front and the winners circle as he won the qualifying race Thursday and will be one of the favorites when the flag drops on the Daytona 500. Junior left DEI just for chances like these and he knows he must make the most of his opportunities especially with the teammates he now has.

Denny Hamlin drove his Toyota to victory in the second qualifying race and is another driver you will want to watch. Tony Stewart is a guy that is always a threat, but some names that you do not think would miss is are going home and one guy who you thought was is not going home. Kenny Wallace making the Daytona 500 shocked me while guys like Bill Elliott, Boris Said, and Sterling Marlin are going home. This is how competitive the Daytona 500 is and it seems to get worse every year.

Denny Hamlin Snares 3rd Busch Win

If there was one thing that makes an ailing race car driver feel better it’s holding up the trophy. That’s exactly what Denny Hamlin did.  Feeling week and needing intravenous fluids before the race started Hamlin gutted it out to grab his third Busch win at the Monster Mile.

Hamlin couldn’t wait to get out of the race car as he was feeling ill all day long. Winning of course helps cure what ails you. Hamlin said he will be okay for the Cup race and will go full throttle. Does Hamlin know any other way of going anyways?
