Greg Biffle took the pole at Dover and Kurt Busch was second while Kyle Busch was third. Biffle who has been working on a new deal to stay with Roush Racing is very close to getting it done. Biffle has not had the greatest season so far, but he is improving and that is the key if you want to get into the Championship.
Meanwhile last week after the Coca-Cola 600 Kyle Busch and Jeff Gordon got into after the race with both trading barbs at each other. Everything has been patched up right now, but I would watch this as the season goes on this could be very interesting indeed. Kevin Harvick put his two cents in like he always does and of course Busch told him to butt out. Isn’t Nascar racing just great lol!

Kasey Kahne was voted into the All-Star race as the fans gave him an opportunity to show everyone what he could do. He took his opportunity and now is one million dollars richer. Kahne in the last segment decided to gamble and not take tires which paid off as he held off Greg Biffle to grab the win.
In looked early in the All-Star race that Kyle Busch was the car to beat but he had car trouble and then Junior stepped up along with Greg Biffle and Carl Edwards, but in the end it was Kahne. You never really like to get your way into a race like this Kahne did, but having the fans vote you in makes it that much sweeter as well. Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon were two drivers many thought had a great chance were not that good all night long. It will be interesting to see what happens in the Coca-Cola 600 in a week.

Greg Biffle is very close to resigning with Roush Racing which is something that I have mixed feelings about. Now Greg Biffle is a very good driver and I know Roush is a very good company to drive for, but I think that it’s time for the Biff to move somewhere else. I think a great fit for him would be Richard Childress Racing who is adding another team next year.
Richard Childress racing already has a sponsor lined up and he would get top equipment and I just think his time at Roush Racing has run it’s course. He is not on the same page as his crew at times and he just does not seem to get the best equipment like he use to. I know the team has been sliding lately. I think a new team would get him going in the right direction again.

It’s been over a year since Greg Biffle earned a pole, as his last one was in May of 2006 at Richmond. Biffle turned a lap of 192.453 to edge Kurt Busch who turned a lap at 192.427. Biffle has been running extremely well and maybe not making the chase has lighted a fire under him. Whatever the reason the last few races he’s been in contention and it looks like he will be again.
Dale Jarrett will start third his best starting spot all year long. Jarrett has only made 22 starts in 33 tries so his team was happy with this starting spot. Tony Stewart will have his work cut out for him as he starts 30th. Never count him out though as with him you never know.

It’s been awhile since Greg Biffle has tasted victory lane so any way to get there is something a Nextel Cup driver will gladly accept. In Kansas City in a rain shortened race Greg Biffle ran out of gas, but got the luck of the call as the caution flag flew. With Biffle not able to get to the finish line Clint Bowyer and Jimmie Johnson passed him and claimed victory. This is Nascar again and lately they don’t always do things the right way and gave Biffle the victory because the caution flag had come out.
Bowyer and Johnson wasn’t happy with the decision, but will have to live with it. This was a huge shakeup in the Chase standings as Jimmie Johnson leads the battle while Jeff Gordon is 6 behind followed by Clint Bowyer who is 14 back. Tony Stewart who won’t be fined for is profanity is now fourth but 117 points behind. It should be interesting down the stretch here.
