I would never expected to be talking about Jeff Gordon and Sonoma and turnaround in the same sentence, but I am. Now Gordon has not had the best of seasons so far, but it seems Sonoma is a track that he does very well at. He could use a pick me up and this could be where he gets it at.
Hendrick Motorsports were suppose to be dominate this year and it has not worked out that way at all. In fact it has been anything but that. One track though could turn those fortunes around for Team Hendrick and For Jeff Gordon and he hopes it is Sonoma.

The million dollar question that seems to be popping up around the garage area is what is wrong with Jeff Gordon. Well, maybe the answer is a lot easier than we actually think. Gordon and Hendrick Motorsports have been so dominate in the last few years other teams have finally stepped up to the plate and made it tougher on him.
No longer is hendricks alone at the top and other teams and drivers want to be the star for awhile so in reality nothing is wrong with Jeff Gordon he just has more competition than ever and once he gets things going he will be fine. In the end he is a very good driver and he will turn his slow start around. Always remember it is better to start slow than finish that way.

If you look at the standings in the Sprint Cup you seem something very interesting. Hendrick Motorsports was predicted to be 1-2-3 and so far that has not worked out. Kyle Busch who was cast aside to bring Dale Earnhardt Jr on board is leading the points followed by Greg Biffle, Kevin Harvick, and Jeff Burton. Seems so far in the early part of the season RCR is do real well while Hendrick Motorsports has struggled.
Now Junior is number five in the points while Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon is 13 and 14 in the points. I’m sure they will make that up with no problem. Jamie McMurray is 36th in the points which is kind of a shocked to me, but besides that nothing really jumps out at you. Joe Gibbs Racing switch to Toyota has benefited both parties so far this season as well.

Jeff Gordon bounced back from a crash in Las Vegas to run the fastest lap in Atlanta to capture the poll with a top speed of 185.251 mph while his partner and running mate Dale Earnhardt Jr qualified second with a 184.852 mph run. Junior has qualified well this season and who knows this maybe his week it really is hard to tell.
With Nascar handing out a penalty to Carl Edwards a few days ago it seems that has not died down either. Most people still think it was done on purpose and Jack Roush has had to answer questions about it all week. I’m sure they will be watching Edwards and Roush cars closely this week.
