Richard Petty was the King of The Track when he raced, but his Cup teams have struggled over the years and General Mills has decided to leave for Richard Childress Racing which means the car that Bobby Labonte drives will have no sponsor in 2009. Now this leaves Labonte in a tough position for a couple of reasons.

First he is in the last year of his contract and Petty Enterprises are looking on a long term deal to  keep him there. With no sponsor and Richard Childress Racing going to field another car next year that is very inviting to Bobby Labonte. In the end though I think Labonte will stay with Petty. I could be wrong, but we will have to just see.
