Tony Eury Jr will step away from DEI following the Talladega race on Oct 7.  Tony Gibson will replace Eury as Juniors crew chief the rest of the year. Eury is also allowed to take four crew members with him in the deal. According to sources only one wants to go. I don’t know about that but I guess we will see.

This is probably a good idea for both parties involved as it lets Eury Jr get into his new job and let’s the No. 8 team at DEI build towards to future without Dale Earnhardt Jr and Tony Eury Jr. I guess if you look at it both parties get a fresh start and a little earlier start than they ever thought.
